Holy Sour Church

The construction of the first Abbey began with the arrival of Sorus in 560Eglise St Sour. Looted by the Normans and then destroyed, the church was rebuilt at the end of the IXth Century . During the XIVth Century the Abbey was destroyed again and abandonned more than 100 years. It's at the beginning of the XVth Century that the church was restored and destroyed again by religious wars. 

The site stayed in ruins during the biggest part of the Century. The Castle Abbey Church and the Convent have been sold as National Heritage.
In 1889, the Abbot PERGOT decided to restore the church with population gifts . Only the gothic portal is still here (XVIthC). The motionless of Holy Sour lies close to the Abbey. Le gisant
With the destruction of Holy Julien Church, Holy Sour Church became the parish church.
The Abbot Pergot stayed in Terrasson more than 60 years. The masterpiece of his life will be the reconstruction of this church with his personal regard (the one of his time). The bell and the rosewindow are masterpieces done by the Abbot Cheval.
The Castle Abbaye Church

 has been destroyed after a fire.
